It seems I've gotten to the point where I am doing a hundred different things all at once… Again haha!
I noticed that there are these cycles in my life where I take on more than I can do.
Then I start downsizing, and then I start building up again until I can’t take it, and then I start downsizing my work again.
I think I am reaching my peak again, so it will probably be time to simplify my work towards the end of this year.
If we just look at my work:
Working with 6 different clients every month
1-2 one-time projects with clients
Meeting and talking with potential clients to secure new contracts
Working on my faceless YouTube channel
Working on my personal YouTube channel
Running a newsletter for freelancers
Creating a new YouTube channel (more on this later)
Occasionally, writing this newsletter
And that’s on top of any admin work, both personal and work-related.
I also have a life outside of work (surprise, haha), so working on nutrition and gym takes time.
And not to mention spending time with my fiancé, dog, or just having some time to relax and play video games.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that we are also planning a wedding, which will be in August!
So, adding all of this together, it’s quite a busy life!
To be honest, I could use some extended vacations hehe.
But enough about me complaining - these cycles happen and I am glad they do, as when you look back, you see how many things you were able to do and move forward in life.
But right now, let’s move on to other things.
Revealing My Faceless YouTube Channel
I’ve kept my YouTube channel under wraps until now.
From 2014-2022, a lot of people made money by creating content sites with ads and affiliate links.
Because competitors could copy or sabotage sites with negative SEO, creators hid their niches, and my channel was tied to one of those sites.
But the old content SEO-driven model is dead, and YouTube plays by different rules. So today, I’m finally comfortable revealing the channel I’ve been building for years.
Drumroll please….
It’s called Home Caprice, and it’s all about heating and cooling your home.
And so far, it’s been doing really well!
I just had my record month in terms of views and revenue from the channel.
I still have plans to grow this further.
Already working on 15 new videos for the heating season this fall.
Found one particular format that worked very well, so want to really double down on it.
Freelancing Newsletter
For the past month, as I was taking the Time to Build course, I completely re-did my goals and who I am targeting with my personal YouTube channel.
And because of this, I have invested a lot of time in a new email sequence with 18 new emails talking about all of my freelancing strategies that I used.
Sneak peek 👇
It took quite some time to do, but now, everything has been set up, so all I need to worry about is making new content for the channel.
I have 5 videos filmed and 5 scripts done.
I really like to work in batches, so first I write around 5 scripts and then I film all of those 5 videos in one go.
Rinse and repeat.
It’s probably going to take a while before I see tangible results for this channel, but I’m okay with that.
Now that I have the system that works, all I need to do is be consistent with it.
The SECRET AC Button No One Knows About
I think it’s very fitting to share one of my videos in this section for this newsletter.
It’s the middle of the summer, and if you own an AC, this is a must-watch!
